God I’m tired of being afraid, afraid of war, afraid of the mask-killer… and afraid of this goddamn suit, and how much I need it.
Just gonna rant about these two for a bit. The movie got their relationship PERFECT, I loved them separately and together just like in the graphic novel. To me it was the most complex out of all the relationships, and the more I thought about it the more it became my favorite. We know they partnered up during their time as the watchmen, and they were probably the two that took it the most serious. But once the keene act passed it was all over, they parted ways. After seeing this scene (which I don’t think is even in the movie by the way pretty sure it’s only the directors cut) it REALLY dawned on me how depressing their friendship is. Dan doesn’t even know what Rorschach looks like, because after all with the mask off that’s not who he really is. This moment though perfectly captures the complexity of their relationship. Then of course when Rorschach dies Dan finally gets to see who’s behind the mask…which to me is sadder than how it is in the comic. They genuinely like each other, but not in this moment. In this moment they’re strangers. Dan isn’t himself unless he’s nite owl ii, and Walter isn’t himself unless he’s Rorschach. With their masks on is when they truly shine, together and separate.

out of all the before watchmen issues that are gonna come out I think I’m most excited for ozymandias
in the original graphic novel they tell you a little bit about his back story but I WANT MORE IT WAS SO INTERESTING

Unless you think you can fly this thing?” Han Solo snarled at Kiddo. “I can…” said Captain Mal making his way through the door. “I can sure as hell be a better captain too.” As the three of them stood there with their eyes glaring through one another, Aragorn stepped in to ease the situation. “We’ll get nowhere bickering like this, the battle is out there, not in here.” They all went back and forth at each other, getting louder and louder. Suddenly the snap of a bow crackled through the ship and an arrow made it’s way past all of their heads. “Shiiiit…check out the aim on Kat” Jules said while nudging Vincent. Aragorn, Han, Mal, and Beatrix were all silent. “None of us need a leader, we need a plan.” said Katniss in a stern voice. Harry Potter sat close by balancing his wand on the table. “She’s right…I wasn’t called here to listen to you all fight. All of us were called here for a reason.” Just as he finished speaking a faint voice came from the distance. Standing in the corner was Rorschach, barely visible. “The world is half destroyed and they bring us together for what? To cry like children? We need to stop whatever’s out there doing this. It wants us all dead. If we keep acting like this, it’ll have what it wants. We’ll all be killed, by ourselves.” Just as the last few words left his mouth, Rorschach was already out of the room. Everyone stood silent, slowly glancing at each other. Are they heroes? Saviors? Or just simply the world’s last hope.
